update on move, pictures of the apartment!

Looks like the apartment in Tuckahoe, New York was the first one to empty and open up for me to move into. Here are some pictures that were emailed to me of the place. It's on the third floor of a walk up building.

Tuckahoe is in Westchester county, New York. It's a short drive outside of NY City. I'm not too familiar with the exact area, I know it close to the highway. Not sure the distance yet to the Metro-North train station. It would be cool if it's not far cause then I would be able to go into the city without worrying about traffic, parking, or even drinking while out if I go see a show. NY is very strict on drunk driving. If they even suspect you've been drinking, they impound your car at your expense. (guilty till proved innocence)

This is the outside of the building.

I got a storage unit to put my stuff into till the big move day cause I currently have a small cramped apartment with no room to be able to pack and still walk around. My GOD!! I didn't realize just how out of shape I've allowed myself to get. getting boxes into my car had me completely out of breath! Getting everything into the third floor is going to be brutal.

I'm amazed how out of shape I let myself get. I was wheezing for breath a few times. See what happens when you don't do cardio workouts.

It looks really nice and spacious for an apartment.I love the hard wood floors.I have them in my townhouse.Don't worry I'm sure you'll get back to your old self in no time.I know what ya mean,I've been so lazy lately.I haven't even gotten my bike out this summer.

Thankfully i quit smoking 6 years ago. Was gasping for air from the exertion. Hopefully tomorrow will be easier, and then the day after that, so on etc. So that by AUG 1st I won't collapse on the staircase on the first try.
How's the weather been for you? I'm not really sure what the normal weather range is for you in MI. Today we had high 90's plus humidity. Still have the air clogged with smoke from the wild fires just over the border in North Carolina. The wind carries it over to us. :(

Last week it was real hot and humid,high 80&90's.But this week it's been real nice high 70's low 80's no humidity.I know Texas was super hot but not really humid,it's like your closer to the sun but not sweating as much.Have you ever been there? That was my 2nd time.MI is weird,one day it could be 90 and the next 65.That sucks about the fires.I thought that was mostly California.I quit smoking in 95.(nasty,nasty habit).Put on a few pounds though so I still huff&puff..haha! Oh well, just more of me to love!

I quit smoking 6 years ago. I'm still slender, any extra few pounds I may of gained lately is coming off with this move. The low temperature is 90 degree lately. so I'm melting.

When your single, it's almost impossible to buy or rent something. Since we have the Euro as a currency in Holland, everything has gotten really expensive! And my salary is something to cry about as well! XD XD XD Oh well, there are worse things!

Well, my mom is going through a divorce so we've decided to share an apartment together. Pool our resources. When she originally moved to Virginia for her marriage etc, she took a major pay cut. So luckily she was able to get a job working in a NYC Hospital again. In ten years she'll get a pension with them. I seems to be hard times everywhere lately. yes, I will talk pictures and post them. :)

Quick update! We lost the apartment that is pictured. They offered us a different one. Now we aren't moving there. We are going to be on City Island, New York. Confusing confusing. I leave at 5.30 am tomorrow morning.

I got to see the outside of the place today! Appears that they had a hard time getting the last tenents out of the place.....so thereis a bunch of crap still inside. The landlord is cleaning up. We are going to move into one of the rooms on Sunday while they finish painting and cleaning the rest of the place.

Right now, the dog and cat are staying in Port Chester while we stay in Yonkers till we move Sunday to City Island. No idea yet when we will actual move the funiture.
